Berries offer many health benefits. Aside from being rich in key vitamins and minerals, berries have a lot of cancer-fighting antioxidants within the rich color pigments found in them. Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and black berries are a few examples of berries currently in season. Visit your local farmers' market and try some today!
Berries can be a healthy addition any snack, any time of the day. At breakfast, you can throw a few into your oatmeal or yogurt. You can add them to pancakes, muffins, and other baked goods. They are a great flavor booster for salads as well. You can also freeze berries and add them to your morning kale smoothie. You can also make them into preserves or jams, or just enjoy them as is!
