Make ends meet with financial assistance.
With financial assistance, low-income families, individuals, veterans, and legal non-citizens who are seniors or disabled, can meet basic household needs, such as food, housing and utilities. With assistance, you can gain economic self-sufficiency.
LOW INCOME FAMILIES & CHILDREN
CalWORKs provides temporary cash assistance to low-income families with children along with services to help parents find and keep a job. CalWORKs can also help children who are not receiving financial support and care from their parents. HSA staff can also assist with health insurance and food assistance.
VETERANS, THEIR SPOUCES & THEIR DEPENDENTS

FOR ADULTS WITHOUT CHILDREN
The General Assistance or General Relief (GA/GR) Program is designed to provide relief and support to indigent adults who are not supported by their own means, other public funds, or assistance programs.
FOR LEGAL NON-CITIZENS, SENIORS OR DISABLED
CAPI provides cash assistance to aged, blind, or disabled legal permanent resident immigrants who have been denied SSI benefits solely due to their immigration status.
