Vision: That San Mateo County is recognized as a welcoming environment, and that foreign-born county residents are connected to services and supported so as to live more vibrant and prosperous lives.

In the Spotlight: Collaborative Community Organizations

The Immigrant Legal Resource Center provides legal trainings, educational materials, and advocacy to advance immigrant rights. Join the ILRC along with the County Libraries and the County of San Mateo Office of Community Affairs to learn more themes surrounding immigration in January!
In September of 2017, San Mateo County Libraries launched the “Community Conversations” program which brings community members – of different walks of life and with differing views – to listen, learn, and discover common connections with one another in a safe space. Join the Millbrae, Half Moon Bay, and Foster City LIbrary in January for conversations on Immigration!

San Mateo County Sheriff's Office CARON Program- How to Pay for College

Join San Mateo County Sheriff's Office for Presentations by E4FC, Catholic Charities, and Sarahi Salamanca for Information on the CA Dream Act, educational policies, updates on DACA, immigration, scholarships, and more. Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Verbo in Redwood City.
